Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using any services provided by Island Money Management ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Services Provided
Island Money Management provides boutique financial consulting, bookkeeping support, document organization, grant and reporting assistance, and related financial systems services. Our services are provided to clients across multiple U.S. states. All services are subject to a separate client services agreement.
Client Responsibilities
- You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current financial information when requested.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your client portal login credentials.
- You agree not to share your portal access with unauthorized individuals.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of documents you upload or submit.
- You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized access to your account.
Limitation of Liability
Island Money Management provides financial organizing and consulting support only. We are not a licensed accounting firm, CPA, or licensed financial advisor unless otherwise stated. Nothing in our services constitutes legal, tax, or investment advice. You should consult a licensed professional for those matters.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Island Money Management shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or reliance on any information we provide.
Intellectual Property
All content, templates, reports, and materials created by Island Money Management remain the intellectual property of the Company unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Client-provided documents remain the property of the client.
Termination
Either party may terminate the service relationship with written notice as specified in the client services agreement. Upon termination, client access to the portal will be revoked and any outstanding balances become immediately due.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Hawaii, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For clients in other U.S. states, applicable state laws may also apply.
Privacy Policy
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Contact information such as name, email address, and phone number
- Financial documents and records you upload to the client portal
- Business information provided during onboarding and consultations
- Communications between you and Island Money Management
- Information submitted through our New Client Inquiry form
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our financial consulting services
- Communicate with you about your account and services
- Process and organize documents you share with us
- Send service-related notifications and updates
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights
How We Store Your Information
Documents and files you upload are stored securely in Google Drive within a dedicated folder structure accessible only to you and authorized Island Money Management staff. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal or financial information with third parties except:
- With your explicit written consent
- As required by law, regulation, or legal process
- With service providers who assist in delivering our services (e.g., Google Drive for secure file storage), under strict confidentiality obligations
Cookies & Website Analytics
Our website may use cookies and analytics tools (such as those provided by Squarespace) to understand how visitors interact with our site. This data is aggregated and anonymous. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; however, this may affect certain website functionality.
Your Data Rights
Access & Correction
You have the right to access, correct, or update the personal information we hold about you at any time. Please contact us directly to make any changes.
Data Deletion
Upon termination of services, you may request deletion of your personal data and uploaded documents. We will fulfill such requests within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
Data Portability
You may request a copy of your documents and data at any time. We will provide your files in a standard format within a reasonable timeframe.
Security
We take the security of your financial information seriously. Access to your documents is restricted to authorized personnel only. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at Amy@islandmoneymanagement.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update these Terms and Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active clients of any material changes via email. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
